a) Organized Supportive Field Work Programme in Jan. and Feb., 2008 in the Department in which the Resource Persons from different agencies i.e. Prof. R.K. Upadhyay, Prof. Sushma Batra( Delhi University), Prof. Ratna Verma, Prof. H. Y. Sidhique, Prof. A.S. Chaudhary, The Team of MARG, New Delhi visited the Department to equip students about fieldwork practice.
b) Professor Surender Singh, Former Vice- Chancellor of M.G. Kashi Vidypeeth, Varanasi visited the Department as Visiting Fellow from 4th to 14th March, 2010.
c) An Alumni Meet was organized by the Department of Social Work on 21st April,2012 in which 75 Alumnies participated.
d) Prof. L.S.Ghandi Doss, Former Head, Dept. of Social Work, Bangalore University, has visited the department as Visiting Fellow from 28 Feburary to 10 March, 2014.
e) The Department has observed World Alzheimer’s Day 2014 on 19 September, 2014 in which Dr. Rakshpal Sharma, Neuro-Psychiatris, Kurukshetra was key speaker.
f) In DLF Raghvendra Scholarship Programme, a scholarship of Rs. 40,000/- being granted annually to two meritorious student of MSW.
The Department in its field work programme is working in several villages surrounding Kurukshetra University with the active involvement of students and working for the empowerment of the marginalized sections of these communities
