Information on Seminar and Conferences:
A National Seminar on ‘Sant Brahmanand Ki Vani Main Darshan Evam Dharma’ was organized by the Department of Philosophy, K.U.Kurukshetra on 08-10-2013. The Seminar was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, K.U.K. Devi Maitri Anand delivered the keynote address on this occasion. Valedictory address was delivered by Prof.K.C.Relhan, Registrar, K.U.Kurukshetra. Prof.R.P.Pandey, Prof.H.S.Sinha,Prof. Babu Ram, Prof. V.P.Shastri also shared their views on this subject. The Seminar has proved to be a mile-stone in exploring Jagatguru Brahmanand’s Philosophical, Ethical, Religious and Social teachings.
A one day seminar was organised by the Dept. of Philosophy, K.U. Kurukshetra on Role of Philosophy in Medical Science on dated: 17 Feb., 2014. Keynote address was given by Dr. Shiv Kumar C.M.O. L.N.J.P. Hospital, kurukshetra and was presided over by Dr. Ashok Rana, Professor, Sri Krishna Ayurvedic College, Kurukshetra.

Achievement Details:
I. The department is disseminating Indian and Western Philosophy to M.A. students and preparing M.Phil. and Ph.D. research scholars in different systems of Indian Philosophy and Western Philosophy.
II. Many books and hundreds of research papers have been published by the teachers of department in different fertile areas of Philosophy such as Indian Philosophy, Philosophy of Culture, Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Sri Aurobindo, Gandhi, Vivekanand, J.Krishanamurti, K.C.Bhattacharya, Wittigenstien, Kant, Plato, and so on.
III. Teachers and Research Scholars regularly participate in National and International Seminars and Conferences.
IV. Many students of the department have qualified the UGC-NET/JRF, SLET and have also obtained ICPR and Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowships.
V. The Department has prepared many candidates for different competitive test like M.B.A. Entrance, CTET, HTET, Banking, different provincial and Indian Administrative services by imparting reasoning ability through a very popular course ‘Diploma-in-Reasoning.’
