Computer Centre has two labs. with some 50 odd Pentiums alongwith Printers etc.Computer Centre has three major types of activities:
- Effecting purchase of Computers and allied items for various departments/offices of the University. This includes tendering,negotiations, ordering and other associated jobs.
- Co-ordinating two one-year courses, Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications and Certificate Course in Computer Applications for the Directorate of Distance Education. This includes lesson-preparation, organizing Contact Programs and other related activities. PGDCA is immensely popular as the course is having intake of thousands every year.
- Automation of various activities of University Administration. In this, virtually all the aspects of the accounting system have been computerized. In addition, Computer Centre has been doing the whole work relating to Result – Processing of B.Tech. Classes since 1998 onwards. Further, Computer Centre has been assisting in setting up of Internet Lab in Library and establishing Fibrenetwork
