Library Timings

Library has a very flexible working schedule through out the year. It opens before the institutions opening time and closes after the closing time so that readers have an opportunity to use the library without disturbance to their academic schedules.

Circulation Counter                    9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (Monday to Saturday except gazetted Holiday))

Reading Areas                            9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. (Except National Holiday, Haryana Day and Holi)

GJRH                                            9.00 to 12.00 nights (Except National Holiday, Haryana Day and Holi)

 

Moreover Rear Reading Hall remains open round the clock throughout the year.

 Library Milestones

To keep abreast with the latest information technology of new trends in information management and services INTERNET SERIVCE Centre of the Library was hooked to information Super Highway during 1996 with meager infrastructure. The Library is now equipped with  100 computers, 2 Laptops, 3 servers, 1 GBPS bandwidth internet connection, 6 scanners, 1 Barcode Readers, 15 printers, 5 software’s - MS-Office97, Window-95, Window-NT, LibSys – 4.0 (Rel 6.2) and 200 Internet Nodes in Library. All PCs and servers are connected to the Campus wide Networks. Four Ups 6KVA and Two UPS of 3 KVA & 5KVA capacity are installed to ensure the smooth functioning of electricity supply. The link of Library on University website www.kuk.ac.in acts as a single window providing information and links to all its services, products and resources. The automated activities service includes E-Resources, Circulation, OPAC, In house databases (Books, Theses, Journals), Electronic Communication (Internal & External).
